Hotel Rwanda

so i finally watched Hotel Rwanda and it might be one of the most moving films i've watched in a while.  it's so easy to overlook all of the suffering in the world when we are wrapped up in our rich american culture.  if you have not seen this movie, please see it ASAP.

Sigur Ros

so i can't even put into words how amazing sigur ros was on monday.  i feel like they are in a completely different league than every other band.  i just don't even get it.

in other news... stellamaris is recording an e.p. due out late spring.  i will post more details as they come... be we have already started on it.

oh and listen to rogue wave.

love,
nathan

last night i started and finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower.  it only took me about 3 hours to read as i just couldn't put it down.  i would compare it to Catcher in the Rye although i still think i like Salinger way better.

sigur ros on monday... i'm so excited you don't even understand.  and those of you who know me well know that ironically, i don't get excited about seeing bands.

God intervened and i saved $700.

so my check engine light came on a while back and when i went to get it checked out, they told me it was the EGR (emissions) valve and that it would be $700 bucks to replace.  today i went up to meineke and the guy there was so nice and took a look at it and cleaned out all of the carbon that had built up.  he reset the light and told me to drive for about 50 miles and if the light didn't come back on i was home free.  i then proceeded to drive around dallas praying that once the codes reset the light wouldn't come back on.  luckily, it didn't and i am not out $700.
